Let me start by stating that I'm just a few days away from hitting the third trimester, and oh boy, you can bet all the extra belly baggage is causing so much tension on my lower extremities. Good thing, my Aeroblu slippers are doing a fantastic job in cushioning my occasionally-swollen feet. As a matter of fact, I am rocking another pair right now and might even get another one because I might size up soon. There are a lot of things that I did not know about being pregnant. I have read all the symptoms and saw them being exaggerated in movies, but little did I know that they can really take a toll on one's body. 

I am already on my second trimester which most experts say is the easiest phase of pregnancy. I must say that is absolutely true. I have enough energy now to travel and do a little bit of shopping for my little bundle of joy every now and then. To aid me in being in my comfortable state but without sacrificing style and fashion, I have been wearing my Aeroblu slippers most of the time.

[Review] Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation in Light Sand

So I finally got my hands on the most talked about foundation this year. Unfortunately for Tarte, not for good reasons. The lack of shades for women of color definitely spun a lot of heat for this foundation. Tarte issued an apology and added darker shades to the line afterwards. Hopefully, other brands will learn from this slip.

Truth be told, I don't need another foundation but I adore my Tarte Shape Tape concealer so much that nonetheless, I decided to give this foundation a swing. I live in a humid and tropical country, so I opted for the Matte formula. Choosing the shade online can quite end up in a hiccup so I just settled with Light Sand which is also the shade that I wear with the Tarte Shape Tape concealer.

I know that I've been slacking from blogging these past few years. But if there is one thing that you all should know, my love for beauty did not fade through the years. I may not be posting my beauty hauls as much as before, but believe me, my make up addict alter ego still lingers beneath my soul.

Now to compensate for my semi-absence on the beauty blogging world, I made a list of my current beauty favorites. Most of them are new discoveries whilst others are just old time faves. Since I just posted my skin care routine HERE, I'll just concentrate on make up and a few bits and bobs.

My 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine

So here I am finally sharing with y'all my updated skin care routine. I follow the 10-step Korean skin care routine because I just find that my skin absolutely adores the products from the Land of the Morning Calm.

Just so you know, I have extremely sensitive skin that it annoys the hell out of me most of the time. Having pointed that fact out, I really struggled a lot (read: break outs, rashes, etc) before finally curating the perfect skin care routine that didn't just make my skin go all psycho, but also improved the appearance and texture of it as well.

Launch of the SM Limited Edition Green Bag - The Good Bag

Now that I am already a home maker, I find myself going to the supermarket more often compared when I was single. I plan, list and shop for all our groceries. I always opt to bring my own eco/reusable bag every time I shop because - (1) It's better for the environment and (2) I hate paying for the green fee (for the plastic bags).

That's why I was beyond excited when I received the news that SM will be launching a limited edition green bag which is so much bigger but for only Php35! Look how pretty this reusable bag is!

Shipping From US To PH with Jinio by Xend + My US Beauty Haul

Ever since I discovered the power of using freight forwarders, I have buried myself into online shopping - as in buried real deep. I no longer join pre orders and I stopped pestering my family and friends living abroad to buy stuff for me and oh boy, it was indeed very liberating. Good for my sense of self-esteem, bad for my wallet.

However, after having my package on hold by Customs for almost two weeks because of lack of documentation provided by the previous freight forwarder - MyMallBox (read my post HERE), I was on a hunt for a new shipping company. 

 So when I saw that my bank was offering a 15% off discount on shipping fee on Jinio, which is operated by Xend, it felt like an illuminating discovery. I have been using Xend to ship out my items for years and I never had a bad experience with them so I thought Jinio was worth checking out. Weeks after, I got my package already and a review to share.

Shop and Ship From US to PH with myMallBox + My US Beauty HAUL (Nordstrom, Sephora, Mac & Sigma)

Been itching to purchase that newly released highlighter or eye shadow palette from 

Sephora.com or similar US shopping sites but holding back because of the hefty shipping fees, or worse, these sites just don't ship to your country? I feel you. I've been there and it was such a bummer. 

Tell you what, gone were the days when we just sit and lust over these brands that only ship to a US address. No need to wait for a relative from the US to come home so that we can make "pabili" because we can now get to enjoy shopping our hearts out and having our purchases delivered straight to our doors. All these thanks to the rise of freight forwarding companies that ship goods from the United States to various countries (including the Philippines). 

After much deliberation (and reading Hollie's blog post), I decided to give myMallBox a go. Yesterday, my package came so I decided to write a blog post about my experience with  myMallBox.

Hands down, Althea is my favorite online shop to get my #Kbeauty fix. If you still haven't received the memo, I basically turned my skin care routine around and switched to purely Korean products (and my skin is totally loving it!).

My L'Oreal Extenso Steam Bond Experience at Jesi Mendez Salon Trinoma

I have naturally wavy hair and every once a year, I have my hair rebonded. Believe me, I tried to embrace my natural waves but my curls are just quite tedious to style. Blessed are those girls who always look like they just walked straight out of a salon. Sadly for me, that's not the case. To subdue my buhaghag hair, I need patience, funds and the help of hair professionals.

So it was that time of the year again. Bumalik na ang sumpa! To tame my tresses, my first choice is always steam bonding. I just adore how this transforms my hair without looking broomstick straight. I've done this thrice already; - one was at Bench Fix Glorietta (when it was first launched) and twice at Regine's Salon Makati (via Dealgrocer). 

Steam bond is quite pricey that's why I'm always on the look out for deals. I saw one on Dealgrocer and I was thinking of getting that. But when, I learned that Jesi Mendez was having a 50% off promo at their newly opened branch at Trinoma, I scratched that idea of.

My Japan Make Up and Skin Care HAUL!

I recently went to a very short trip (2 days) to Osaka and despite the very limited time I had there, I was still able to squeeze in a little bit of beauty shopping. To be honest, compared to Kbeauty, I don't have an en exquisite knowledge about Japan beauty products. I know the big brands like RMK, Shiseido, Kanebo, SK-II, and Shu Uemura to name a few but I was really overwhelmed with their drugstore brands. I just knew I wanted to buy a mascara and a brown liner because my beloved Dolly Wink pen liner is starting to dry up already. If you've been reading my posts recently, you'd already know that I'm seriously hooked into #Kbeauty (and #Kdrama). I just couldn't help it. You see, for a girl like me cursed with a direful sensitive skin, finding products that work on my skin without causing a massive break out is something that's hard to come by. IOPE Air Cushion Blusher in 01 Rose Pink and 02 Peach Sherbet

Since I had a rave-worthy experience with IOPE Air Cushion Matte Long Wear, I decided to get their Air Cushion blushers as well. Add to that, the liberating idea of having a cream blush that does not require me blending with my fingers really enticed me. 

The IOPE Air Cushion blushers come in two shades which are both equally pretty and right up my alley. In the beginning, I was going back and forth with what shade should I get. But my inner beauty junkie prevailed so I decided to just get both. When in doubt, get both (or all), right? #TheBeautyAddictMantra
