My 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine

So here I am finally sharing with y'all my updated skin care routine. I follow the 10-step Korean skin care routine because I just find that my skin absolutely adores the products from the Land of the Morning Calm.

Just so you know, I have extremely sensitive skin that it annoys the hell out of me most of the time. Having pointed that fact out, I really struggled a lot (read: break outs, rashes, etc) before finally curating the perfect skin care routine that didn't just make my skin go all psycho, but also improved the appearance and texture of it as well.

[Review] COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pad

COSRX is definitely one of the most hyped kbeauty brands. It's a brand with a huge cult following because apparently their products work really well for a variety of skin issues (acne, anti-aging, blackheads to name a few), without the hefty price tag. This is the main reason while most of their products are almost always out-of-stock on various online sites. One of their most raved product is their One Step Pimple Clear Pad.

[Review] Althea Total Brightening Box

Hands down, Althea is my favorite online shop to get my #Kbeauty fix. If you still haven't received the memo, I basically turned my skin care routine around and switched to purely Korean products (and my skin is totally loving it!).

If you're new to K-Beauty and you're clueless on what to get, you can check Althea's list of specially curated boxes which house full sized products at a fraction of the total value. Talk about a way to dip your fingers to the K-Beauty world without spending a fortune.

My Japan Make Up and Skin Care HAUL!

I recently went to a very short trip (2 days) to Osaka and despite the very limited time I had there, I was still able to squeeze in a little bit of beauty shopping. To be honest, compared to Kbeauty, I don't have an en exquisite knowledge about Japan beauty products. I know the big brands like RMK, Shiseido, Kanebo, SK-II, and Shu Uemura to name a few but I was really overwhelmed with their drugstore brands. I just knew I wanted to buy a mascara and a brown liner because my beloved Dolly Wink pen liner is starting to dry up already. My Korean Skin Care Haul From Althea (Missha, Son & Park, Innisfree & Laneige)

If you've been reading my posts recently, you'd already know that I'm seriously hooked into #Kbeauty (and #Kdrama). I just couldn't help it. You see, for a girl like me cursed with a direful sensitive skin, finding products that work on my skin without causing a massive break out is something that's hard to come by. But things went sweeter when I decided to dip my fingers into  Korean skin care. Lets just say that my skin reacts beautifully with products from the Land of the Morning Calm. #PraiseGod

The Face Shop The Therapy First Serum

My love affair with The Face Shop The Therapy First Serum started when I received a handful of samples of this product when I went to Myeongdong in Korea a few years back. Korean skin care was still new to me at that time, so I had zero expectations when I first applied this on my skin. Basically, I just took a major leap of faith (to K-beauty) that this will not aggravate my annoyingly sensitive skin. 

Well, it didn't (thank God). But more importantly, I witnessed a major difference with my skin when I started to incorporate this to my routine. I was so amused by the results that I purchased a full-sized bottle without blinking twice when my (very generous) samples finally ran out.

My Althea Korean Beauty Haul + Contest Details!

Despite the fact that I just recently been to Seoul, Korea last month, I was still not able to haul as much Korean skin care and make up items as I thought I would. I just bought my holy grail BB cream which is the Dr. Jart+ Black Label BB Cream and that was it.

The reason being is that I was overwhelmed with so much Korean skin care brands (especially in Myeondong) that I did not know what to get. Add to that, I was just in Seoul for two days and I had very limited time to shop. Good thing, I can still get authentic Korean products online (at a very reasonable price point) and have them delivered right at my doorstep (free shipping) through Althea. 

So after watching a couple of Korean Youtubers, I made a list of Korean beauty products that I would like to try and ordered them through Althea. I placed my order last July 20 and I received my package straight from Korea today. Yey!

If there is one product that I have used every single day (and recommended to all my friends) last Summer, it is no other than the Belo SunExpert Perfecting Shield Tinted Sunscreen With SPF 50 PA++++. I first sampled this at Sampleroom.ph and right after the first application, I knew I would love this sunscreen to bits! It is one of those products that helped me manage the scorching heat these past few months.

Nivea Instant White Firming Body Lotion with SPF 15

I'm quite fair already, but if I want to amp it up a notch brighter instantly (or to even out my skin tone), I use lotions that claim to magically lighten the skin in one application. I have already used (and reviewed) a ton from all sort of brands (Snoe, Vaseline, Glupa, Belo) and have mixed feelings about them. But when I saw that Nivea now carries a similar body lotion, like a true bloom beauty blogger, I was instantly intrigued.
