[Review] COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pad

COSRX is definitely one of the most hyped kbeauty brands. It's a brand with a huge cult following because apparently their products work really well for a variety of skin issues (acne, anti-aging, blackheads to name a few), without the hefty price tag. This is the main reason while most of their products are almost always out-of-stock on various online sites. One of their most raved product is their One Step Pimple Clear Pad.
Despite all the raves, I was okay with waiting to haul COSRX products on my next trip to Korea. I had my list and I was willing to be patient. Fact of the matter, I have other skin care products that I should finish up first. No rush.

But then I learned that Watsons now carry a few COSRX products (One Step Pimple Clear Pad, Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask and Make Me Lovely Cushion). But the good news didn't end there. Shout out to my babe Ana of Anagon because it was in one of her posts where I read that Watsons offer the cheapest COSRX products in the market. Way even cheaper compared to online sites based in Korea.
So I checked my nearest Watsons. They only had one tub left of the One Step Pimple Clear Pad so I picked it up in a heartbeat. I also snagged the Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask because I was running low on my Laneige Sleeping Pack and I was on the look out for a new one to try.
Ana was right. I got my tub of One Step Pimple Clear Pad (70 pads) for only Php600+ while the Ultimate Nourshing Honey Overnight Mask for only Php616. For reference, the former retails for around Php900-Php1000 and the latter for almost Php900 at BeautyMNL and Althea Korea. Aside from that, you still need to pay for shipping.
Now onto the proper review. When my husband and I were in Osaka a few weeks ago, I had a massive break out after using the Shiseido Facial Foam which was provided at our hotel room. It was heartbreaking. So right after I got back home, I incorporated the COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pads in my skin care routine.
Product description: "The One Step Pimple Clear Pad is made with all-natural ingredients for trouble care, sebum control care, and exfoliation care. Kill not only 2, but 3 skin concerns with one step. It calms and soothes the skin while the active ingredients deeply penetrate the pores to flush out the unwanted gunk to clear and prevent further skin troubles."
Ingredients: Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine Salicylate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate
After washing my face with Innisfree Green Tea facial cleanser, I used this instead of my Mamonde Rose Water Hydrating Toner, day and night. I love the concept of these pre-moistened pimple clear pads because they are very convenient to use. I love that I can travel with this product as well without worrying about spillage.
The pimple pad has two sides; - an embossed one which helps exfoliate and remove the impurities on the skin and a smooth side which hydrates and softens the skin. I first use the textured part and then the smooth side afterwards. Then, I proceed with the rest of my skin care routine.

For an exfoliating anti-acne product, I find this relatively gentle on the skin. I have really sensitive skin, but this product didn't sting at all. I also love its herbally (tea tree) scent. Every time I put this on, I feel like I'm being transported to a spa; -really calming and soothing. Love it!
But the best part is that in as fast as four days, my skin cleared up! I was really wowed and beyond overjoyed. Take note, I didn't use any other anti-acne products in conjunction with the pimple pad because I really want to see for myself if it will really remedy my break outs. Well, it did! Clap, clap! Now, I understand why this is a massive hit!
So yes, believe the hype about this product because it really worked well to calm my irritated skin. I loved it so much that even after my skin had cleared up completely, I still used this in place of my hydrating toner every now and then. And mark my word, this will come with me every time I fly.
