Knowing that 100% of the proceeds from getting a Mac Viva Glam lipstick will be used to fund the Mac AIDS Foundation is the perfect excuse for a beauty junkie like me to add another tube in my beauty stash. The feeling of being part of a good cause, one lipstick at a time, is so spot on for me. On that note, I always keep my eyes peeled for new products under the Mac Viva Glam line.
I seriously don't need another lipstick. But there is something about Mac Happy-Go-Lucky lipstick that made me break my project no-make-up-buy without even blinking . Call it love at first swatch or whatever, bottom line is - I'm so glad I picked this little buddy up. It's limited and I might stab myself if I let it slipped away.
Definitely a true icon in every way, Max Factor Creme Puff - the classic all-in-one compact for any occasion and has been on every make-up lover's must have list since 1953 just had a makeover! Yes, after 60 years of giving women perfect skin with a touch of golden glamour, Creme Puff appears in a new golden case, beaming of elegance, luxury and freshness.
When the news came out that Rihanna would be collaborating with Mac, all hell broke loose in the beauty community. Beauty geeks all over the world were eager to get a few pieces (or all) from this very-sought-after collection. So when I learned that CareFreeShopper has items from the collection on hand, I immediately added Riri Woo lipstick in my cart and checked out like my life depends on it. Added bonus, my Mom offered to pay for the lipstick - talk about another birthday gift, yey! So without further ado, here's my Mac Riri Woo Lipstick in all its glory!
Believe me, I had no intentions of buying another lipstick due to the fact that my lipstick collection has grown far more than what an average girl (like me) needs. Spending a minute or two each day just deciding on what lipstick to wear has becoming a bit of an issue for me. But because I was weak (and this lipstick is gorgeous), my harmless lurking at the Mac counter at Eastwood Mall ended up with a lippie purchase. Meet my new fave pink lipstick - Mac Silly!
If you love Taylor Swift (like I do!), you probably already know how she professed her huge love for this lip color from Nars. Like any hardcore fan, I immediately went to my fave Nars counter (at Rustan's Shang), swatched Dragon Girl on my arm and uttered a silent sigh of admiration. No wonder it's one of Taylor Swift's must-have make up products!
Nars may describe Golshan as "spiced wine", but I'd say it's more of a deep warm brick-red with just the right amount of brown undertones. I love that it doesn't lean too red - making it not too bold for a casual work day, nor excessively brown - making you look twice your age. Really, the perfect ratio between these hues makes Golshan, worth owning.
Vegas Volt has been on my list for ages. It's part of Mac permanent line, but is not readily available at our local counters (what a shame!). So armed with my confidence that I could rock this shade, plus an x-number of times googling swatches, I blindly ordered it online. Now, did I make an awesome purchase? I'll tell y'all in a bit.
Decently opaque, shiny, hydrating and very comfortable on the lips; - these words sum up my adoration about this lipstick. Beside the fact that it is housed in a clear bullet tube that allows me to actually see the color, the formulation of this lipstick is indeed.. supreme.
When my ever reliable Nars MUA informed me that the new Nars Satin Lip Pencils were already available at the Nars Shang counter, I scrammed. With a giddy heart and an intention to get Yu (shocking pink), I was at the Nars counter in no time. Unfortunately, I swatched Yu and Mac Girl About Town next to each other (see swatch) and got the dupe alert! So I skipped Yu, and followed my Nars MUA recommendation and settled for Lodhi instead. Let me tell you, best decision (and reco) ever!
Snoe fanatics (like me) have another reason to rejoice because Snoe introduced another fabulous addition to its already oh-so-gorgeous line; - Rouge Deluxe Lipsticks! Yep, the brand we all love is now carrying cosmetics which include pretty shades for our puckers. Enter my favorite shade from the Rouge Deluxe line; - Precious Pout!

Mac recently released their Glamour Daze Holiday Collection 2012 at Rustan's Makati and since it has been ages ago (I think) since I last purchased something limited from Mac, I decided to take a quick peek. After swatching a handful of colors on my hand, I made a decision. Say hello to the newest addition to my lipstick collection; - Mac Outrageously Fun (retails for Php1,100)!
Matte lipsticks can be a pain to wear. Sure, they saturate the lips with impeccable color pay off while boosting your self confidence to the nth power in a swipe. But let them sit for a little while on your lips and they will suck all the life of your puckers up; -leaving them miserably hurt, dry and cracked afterwards. This is the reason being why I didn't deviate into this formulation for the longest time.
But ever since the matte hybrids (read:non-drying matte lipsticks) came around in the beauty world, I slowly ventured into trying them out. Some were amazing, other were a bunch of crap load. And topping the list of amazing matte lipsticks in the market today (at least for me) is this Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Matte lipstick in M PK 348.

I have been asking for the perfect travel make up palette for ages, and Laura Mercier definitely answered my prayer when she released the Lingerie Eye and Cheek palette. It is by far, the best make up palette that I have ever owned! Stumbling into a make up palette with shades that I know I will all love and will get a lot of use is beyond legendary!

If you receive the beauty memo, you'd already know that the color of the year (2012) is tangerine tango. Orange is a color that has always been close to my heart, and now that the spotlight is on her, I (together with a gazillion other people) feel extremely captivated. I just love how this shade brings instant warmth to anything it touches. It's a stunning shade that works on a wide range of skin tones. And on that note, there is this mango-tinted lip and cheek color that has been my no-fail beauty booster. Yes, it's no other than Benefit Cha Cha tint!
If there is one item in my make up stash that weighs incredibly heavy for a lipstick, screams indulgence, breathes luxury and is a no-fail conversational piece, it is definitely my Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in #62 Georgia. As a matter of fact, this lipstick started my infatuation with the Guerlain Rouge G lipstick range. If money is not an issue, I would definitely stock up on these babies.
I almost bought the Chanel Rouge Coco in #5 Mademoiselle when it first came out. But I remember trying to finish another my-lips-but-better-shade lippie back then so I postponed that purchase. And then a few days later, I read a news flash from the beauty blogsphere; - a dead on dupe for Chanel Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle has been found! And what made this revelation more interesting is it's from Revlon; - a drugstore brand that is highly affordable. And yes, the particular shade that they were referring to is Revlon Colorbust lipstick in Soft Rose.

Victorian lipstick was part of Mac Spring Colour 2 Forecast Collection which was released 2 years ago. I remember that period was the height of my passion for make up (and I was just starting with my blog), but for some peculiar reason, I managed not to pick anything from the collection (go figure!). So when I saw this lipstick on a blog sale, I snatched it immediately.

Chatterbox; - a lipstick that has been on my lemming list for ages. I remember hating our local Mac counters before because this shade is from the permanent line, but it is not available here. Good thing, that changed already. So if you decide to get this lipstick after reading this post, you can easily scram to Mac and pick one for yourself.
