On most days, I paint my nails with bright, attention-seeking colors. But on days where I need to add a dash of sophistication to my nails without looking over-the-top, I stick to neutral, soft tones. One particular shade that I enjoy using lately is Essie Lady Like Nail Polish.

NOTD: OPI Fit To Be Tied Nail Polish DUO #1: Emotions and Its Frosty Outside (Liquid Sand)
You would never see me jumping in joy over a matte nail polish. Quite a bold statement really, but it's the truth. You see, I like my nails looking glossy and dimensional. Yes, despite the gritty feel of holographic, chunky glitters, I would choose one over a matte, boring polish any time of the day.
On that note, I came across a new nail polish finish and it tickled my fancy spot on. Introducing Liquid Sand - OPI's newest innovation in texture. It dries to a textured matte finish infused with reflective glints of light. It's matte, but with an attitude!
I heard raves about this polish all over YouTube so when I spotted this at SM Beauty Section, I grabbed it immediately. I've worn it a good number of times already, and mind you, it never failed to wow random strangers every time. It's so bright and fun that it makes people around you swoon over it!
For me, there is nothing more lady-like than having dainty polished nails. Achieving this is easy. Just choose a pale nude pink lacquer, and you'd instantly feel like a princess or a bride-to-be. On that note, let me present to y'all one of my ultimate fave nude pink polish; - Orly Cupcake.
I love wearing purple on my nails. Add a dash of breathtaking gold shimmers and you bet, I'll be all over it. So when I spotted OPI Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI? Nail Polish (retails for Php410) on Lazada, I purchased it immediately. And oh boy, swatches online don't give justice to this polish. Trust me, it's more splendid in person.
Hi dolls! I hope everyone is doing well despite this unforgiving (wet) weather. I miss waking up to bright mornings, so I decided to paint my nails with a fun, summery shade; - orange! Meet Orly Sol Cabana Nail Polish!
Despite the gloomy weather, I still opted to feel spring-y and paint my nails with a spectral color. Pastel colors always tend to add a little bit of sunshine to my mood so I grabbed my Orly Gumdrop and started applying it on my nails. I received this polish as a present last Christmas and for a color this fabulous, it's a shame that it was just sitting on my nail polish stash all this time; - unused and unloved. So I decided to take it out for a spin and oh boy, I'm glad I did!
Want to paint your nails, but don't like to deal with the hassle of removing them? Then you're in luck because washable nail polishes finally hit the market. So give those highlighters a rest (yup, I used to do that too when I was a kid), and say hooray for these Girlstuff Washable Nail Polishes!
If there is one polish pair that you need to get from the Nars x Pierre Hardy Shoe Inspired Nail Polish Collection, it's no other than this set. Vertebra gives you the best of both worlds; - a creamy coral and a dusty rose one which enables you to either go neutral or tropical on your nails depending on your mood. Better yet, apply both and use the coral one as an accent color for a pop of unexpected fun!
From Laura Mercier's Holiday 2012 Art Deco Muse Collection, Noir Glace nail polish is an intense deep warm cocoa brown that almost looks like black in some lighting.
Purple is my favorite color. So it's already innate in me to lean towards this hue in almost every department; - make up, fashion and nail polish! This is the reason being why I added Play Date on my Zalora cart without even googling how it actually looks on the nails. The fact that it's a purple polish sealed the deal with me.
It's already the month of December; - aka the most wonderful time of the year! This means that it's time to be festive and to wear something sparkly! For the nails, I'd say drop the classic hot red pedi and wear something a little more unexpected. Lost for ideas? Then take a look at this gorgeous nail laquer from OPI Spiderman 2012 Collection; - Just Spotted The Lizard.

Nude Silk (limited edition) is part of Laura Mercier's Cinema Noir Collection for Fall 2012. It's a gorgeous rosy toffee-caramel beige polish with a creme finish. The formula of this polish is beyond gorgeous. It applies smoothly, and is almost opaque in just one coat. It also dries really fast, and stays decently on the nails for weeks. Oh yes, it's the Nail Goddess gift to all the nail polish junkies out there!
Orly Nite Owl is part of Orly's Birds of a Feather for Fall 2011. It's a gorgeous taupe-y brown shade with silver specks. It looks absolutely boring on the bottle, but on the nails, it lifts that old neutral territory a notch up!
I have never been a fan of shatter/crackle nail polishes. I just never leaned towards this nail craze. Perhaps my inner contentment with my traditional creme and occasional glitter polishes grounds me. Also, I feel that it's just a phase and I cannot fathom the point of paying more bucks for them (e.g. OPI: Php420, China Glaze: Php500).
But when I saw the OMG (Oh My Golly) Cracked line on display at Landmark, Trinoma and realized how incredibly cheap they are (Php34.75 a pop), I craved in. Despite the fact that there were only quite a handful left on display (they are indeed very popular), I still managed to score this shimmery metallic grey shade.

Blazing Blue is definitely one of the prettiest dark navy blue polish that I have ever seen. Normally, I shy away from blue tones as deep as Blazing Blue because most of the time, a shade like this looks just another "black-ish" polish. But Blazing Blue is definitely different. It is infused with green and teal shimmers that when under direct sunlight, sparkle like a gem. The sight is so pretty that I can just gaze about my fingernails 24/7.

Plum's The Word is definitely not a shade that I will personally pick up. It is one of those shades that can easily be left unnoticed especially for someone like me who is partial to bright, fun nail colors. But when the sales attendant talked me on how unique and gorgeous this color is, I decided to trust her taste and bought it immediately. Yes, I'm that easy to enable, haha. But kidding aside, I'm glad she recommended this because.. I love it!

I may not be a fan of blue eye shadows, but I dig blue polishes! And on that note, when I finally saw Orly Sweet Peacock (part of Birds of a Feather collection) on display at Landmark, Trinoma, I did not think twice and purchased one immediately. Why not? It's blue. It's metallic. It's gorgeous!
