Scarlet Ibis is perhaps the boldest and brightest shade from the Mac Iris Apfel collection. It is a matte loud vivid red-orange that is definitely not for the faint heart. 




Scarlet Ibis is a matte, but applies like an amplified creme on the lips (which by-the-way is a good thing!). It is very creamy, goes on really smoothly and is opaque in one coat. It also sits comfortably, stays decently and stains the lips beautifully. Yes it's not an everyday color but I love how its warm bright hue compliments my skin tone. Even on darker skins, I think this will totally look phenomenal too. A shade like this is also a great alternative to blazing hot red or vibrant loud pink lipsticks (besides, tangerine tango is the color of the year!). Oh, and one additional perk, it works as a great creme blush too!

Unfortunately, this is a limited and a sold-out already shade. But if you want something close, I suggest Mac Lady Danger or Nars Velvet Matte lip pencil in Red Square.
