Last Tuesday, I attended the Nars workshop at Shangri La and their lovely senior make up artist did this look on me.
Skin Smoothing Face Prep
Firming Foundation in Deauville
Smudge Proof e/s base
Daphne single e/s
I took this picture two hours after the event and the make up was pretty much still intact. Well, except for the lip product. I had Sex Machine Velvet Matte lipstick during the workshop but here, I'm wearing Mac Viva Glam Gaga. (wink)
They were giving out exciting freebies, so I decided to get another Orgasm blush (which I might give to a friend) :)
And the reward for that unnecessary purchase (and for being the model)? Loads of freebies! Yipee!! :)
Potent EFA cream
Aqua Gel Hydrator (I love this!)
Small pouch
Sheer Matte and Sheer Glow foundation samples in Deauville
Over all, the event was sweet and fun!
Thoughts? Let me know, ayt?
Until the next workshop! :)
Peace and Love!

Go beautifully nude with Orgasm Illuminator, a scintillatingly sheer, weightless fluid that makes skin appear refreshed, radiant and glowing. Flecks of gold, peach and pink shimmer softly diffuse light, melting into the skin to allow your true beauty shine through. Softly reflecting light, Orgasm Illuminator melts into your natural skin to bring out the best of you. - This is how this product is described at NARS website. I love how these words entice me to love the product.
I love Nars Orgasm family. I have the blush, the lip gloss, the multiple and the nail polish. I adore them all. I don't have the nail lacquer because I find it so-so for Php950. But my rant over the polish is another story. So going back, I was lucky enough to try this new addition to the Nars Orgasm line, the Orgasm Illuminator.

Directions for use according to the NARS website: Apply all over the face or use as a highlighter, over or under makeup. It may also be mixed with foundation. Apply to face, neck, shoulders, or décolleté.

This may be named "Orgasm", but the color is way different from the infamous Orgasm blush/multiple. This has more bronze tones and fewer peachy pink ones. It goes super sheer and leaves the skin infused with lovely shimmers. It can also be used in a lot of ways. Pop it as a highlighter, an eyeshadow, a blush base, a lip gloss or mix it with your foundation for that radiant finish.

I love highlighters. Highlighters really put my make up to the next level. It creates that subtle glow on my face that I really really love. I love the texture of this liquid highlighter and how easy it blends on my skin. It's quite sheer and it dries into a soft finish, - absolutely no greasiness or any yucky feeling. Also, a little goes a long way. I'm pretty sure that my sample tubes will last me a long time.
It's a nice product. However, it's not a must-have for me. This might not be universally flattering too as I'm not sure if this will work for deeper skin tones because again, it's quite sheer. For $29/Php1750 for a tube, I don't see myself buying a full size of this anytime soon. I love my Guerlain meteorites, Nars Albatross and Nars Copacabana and I would probably just stick with them. Just my two cents! :)
How about you? Have you already tried the Orgasm Illuminator? What are your input? Let me know, ayt?
Until then.

This post is so overdue. I totally forgot about posting this until I saw them on my "BLOG PICS" folder. I'm talking about this lip gloss duo that I constantly receive from my Nars counter every time I reach a particular amount. I think I still have five more in my drawer. Over all, this will just be a quick post showcasing some swatches that I did months(?) ago, lol.
This mini duo has two of Nars' best selling shades;- Striptease and Dolce Vita. Striptease is described as "candlelight nude" and Dolce Vita as "sheer dusty rose". I love Nars lip glosses despite their plastic-y smell and taste. That's something I'm willing to compromise because their color selection is insanely gorgeous. Plus, I love the non-sticky feel. :)
Here are some swatches:
I love layering Striptease on top of any lipstick that I need to tone down. And I use Dolce Vita on its own most of time. Actually, you can even use Striptease alone if you are going for a "true nude lippie" look. Both of them are opaque and oh-so fab! :)
And since I mentioned above that this would be a quick post, I'll stop all the ramblings here. If you have questions, just let me know.
Until then.
Peace and Love!

This was the gift-with-purchase that I got from Rustan's weeks ago.
The set includes 3 mini lip glosses and these are the colors that came with it.
Shade description according to Nars:
Supervixen - sheer sparkling mauve
Female Trouble - lilac mauve
Rose Gitane - sheer sangria
And here are some swatches :
(with flash)
I love all the shades! However, I must say that Rose Gitane is far my fave from this crowd. Rose Gitane is a very beautiful berry color lip gloss. It is highly pigmented and shows up wonderfully even on my naturally pigmented lips. I love that the color is buildable and the tiny shimmery flakes in it are oh-so gorgeous! I'm sure I will purchase a full size of this very very soon!

Purple is my all-time favorite color. I love owning anything under this color scheme. So when I spotted this baby on Lelila's make up collection post on GirlTalk, I drooled over it like nobody's business. I felt my excitement rushing while I was amusingly hovering my mouse over its photo. Gee, no doubt, I was in love with it spot on (talk about "love at first sight", make-up style!)! I sent her a personal message telling her how I adore this shadow duo and to my surprise, she said that she would give it to me for free (I didn't even asked for it)! I almost died when I read her message! Thanks again sister! *hugs*

Bysance is a lovely combination of shimmering Marigold (left) and Iridescent Iris (right). This is quite a peculiar combination, but nonetheless, this duo is stunning! Both shades are buttery soft, well pigmented and they blend effortlessly. These shadows work well together as well. It's like they were matched in make-up heaven! So yes, I am totally head-over-heels with these shadows!

Gorgeous colors, right? I can't wait to play more with these shades!

Yep, I'm so guilty! I bought some Nars items again. I grabbed a cleanser and two sets of the Mini Multiple trio. One set is for a friend and the other one is for my sister (although she wants the South Beach only!) - which means that I'll post Copacabana and Orgasm soon in my blog sale. So without further adieu, here are the goodies that I got yesterday.

I got this sample of Nars Duo Cream Eye Shadow in Unconditional Love few weeks ago. One is a matte pale blue and the other one is described as peach beige shimmer. I used the peach beige on my lids on its own and it looked really gorgeous. I love how it brightened my eyes with so little effort. Surprisingly, it did not crease on me. :)
This is how the duo looks like:

Shade description: VENUS - Fresh loose powder with gold shimmer.
This is the ultimate shimmer source in a pot. Definitely not for gals who dislike shimmers because Nars absolutely amplified this gem for that sparkly look in you. I love combining it with my loose powder or putting it over my matte blushes for a brighter effect. It works good as a brow highlighter too and I think it can also pass as a decent eyeshadow.

This is my first Nars eyeshadow duo. Look how beautiful the colors look on the pan.
And yup, I got it for free! :)
Looks promising right? Here are some swatches.
(Just for reference, I'm NC20 in Mac)
My Say?
I like using the light to medium shimmery green pigment on my lids and the golden bisque as a brow highlighter and liner under my eyes. I love these shimmering colors because they look refreshing and they kinda give my eyes its much needed pop. The texture of the shadows is smooth and silky and very much blendable. What I only dislike about this duo is its lack of pigmentation. I have to pack the color on, and even when I do, there is only a hint of color. I need to spray a little bit of Mac Fix + in order for this duo to show better on my lids.
My Verdict?
Over all, these are pretty colors that would be gorgeous on fair skinned ladies but I guess will not work on darker skin tones. And for its price (Php1750) , I think that is not worth the chance.
So in my honest opinion, this duo is a HIT for fair skin, and a BIG MISS for medium-dark skin.
