My Project 5 Pan Update!

Because I realized that I was buying a lot, I vowed to myself that I will not do any unnecessary make up purchases up until I have five empties on my hand. And after two rough weeks, I am finally happy to cross out "project 5 pan" in my to-do list. Talk about being a proud make up junkie! :)

FOTD: C/O Nars Workshop at Shangri La

Last Tuesday, I attended the Nars workshop at Shangri La and their lovely senior make up artist did this look on me.

I took this picture two hours after the event and the make up was pretty much still intact. Well, except for the lip product. I had Sex Machine Velvet Matte lipstick during the workshop but here, I'm wearing Mac Viva Glam Gaga. (wink)

They were giving out exciting freebies, so I decided to get another Orgasm blush (which I might give to a friend) :)

And the reward for that unnecessary purchase (and for being the model)? Loads of freebies! Yipee!! :)

My July 2010 Favorites

I love July! It's my birth month and I have been travelling a lot this month (that reason for me being mia). I know that I am a few days late from posting this, but if you would like to know my July favorites, just hang on. So, here we go.

1. Nars Balancing Toning Lotion

My holy grail toner so far. I use this nightly. It keeps my skin even, clear, and glowing. It hydrates and doesn't dry my skin out.

My April Love Affair

Please don't be confused with my title. Nope, I don't have a new lover. I'm still happy and very much in love with Mr. Boyfriend (which I miss so much). What I'll be tacking is all about the products that I am currently loving.

The month of April is over (which made me realize that my vacation is quickly coming to an end, argh.) I can say that April had been intensely good to me. Right after my finals, I stayed in the province and I was able to spend a lot of time with my family. Although I'm afraid that sometimes, boredom kills me here. It's too quiet. Perhaps, I'm just not used to that anymore. I miss Manila (and Mr. Bf). But then again, it's not really a big thing since I can just pop back in the city anytime I want (especially when Mac launches a new collection).

And to cope up with my boredom attacks, I play with my beauty goodies back here and I find myself favoring some of them. These are the products that I have been reaching most of the time lately. Some were purchased within the month of April, while others were just my old-trusty goodies. :)

Yup, I also ventured into NARSkin and I must say that it is one of the best line of skincare that ever touched my combination/sensitive skin.

According to Nars, there are three steps in order to achieve that perfect-looking skin. The first step is to cleanse, second is to refine, and the last step is to moisturize.

This is what I use to clean my face: The Balancing Foam Cleanser

A velvety, non-drying foam cleanser designed to effectively remove makeup and surface impurities while retaining essential moisture in the skin. Calming botanicals and gentle emollients help calm and soothe the skin leaving the complexion feeling soft, balanced and refreshed.

Recommended for:
Active, combination and normal skin types or anyone who experiences break outs.

My Say:

I love its creamy soft foam that takes off EVERY bit of my makeup, its pretty orange-y scent, and how it leaves my skin super clean but not tight.

It lathers so nicely, that I only need a small amount to get the most luxurious velvety foam experience for my entire face.

The packaging is sleek and extremely heavy but still,

I love it to bits!

And to refine my face, I use: The Balancing Toning Lotion

A dual-purpose toning lotion that helps maintain balance in the skin while promoting moisture. Helps remove excess sebum while the addition of natural botanicals help condition and soothe the skin resulting in a healthy, polished complexion.

My Say:

This is a wonderful product. It really does feel very fresh on my skin and works well in getting rid of any impurities. This is an alcohol-based but it doesn't dry me out, and I haven't had any adverse reactions. I read that they have included some form of emollient in this lotion in order to balance out any drying occurring from the alcohol.

And lastly, what I use to moisturize every night: The Balancing Moisture Lotion

A lightweight moisturizing lotion that helps improve skin’s texture while combating free radicals. My Say:

This moisturizes my skin in a manner that exceeded my expectations. It is a bit runny but it is quickly absorbed by the skin, leaving it soft and supple. It hydrates my skin perfectly without that greasy feeling. I also need just one pump to cover my entire face. So I'm sure this bottle will last me a long, long time. The only drawback I have for all the things I mentioned above is the packaging. I know, they look sleek and chic at the same time. But they are quite heavy and the white parts attract dirt like no other. But other than that,

I love how they make my skin better, one wash at a time! :)

Another Nars Mini Haul

Yep, I'm so guilty! I bought some Nars items again. I grabbed a cleanser and two sets of the Mini Multiple trio. One set is for a friend and the other one is for my sister (although she wants the South Beach only!) - which means that I'll post Copacabana and Orgasm soon in my blog sale.
