On most days, I paint my nails with bright, attention-seeking colors. But on days where I need to add a dash of sophistication to my nails without looking over-the-top, I stick to neutral, soft tones. One particular shade that I enjoy using lately is Essie Lady Like Nail Polish.
I ordered a few nail polishes from Lazada Philippines the day before yesterday, and I already got my package today. Pretty fast if I may say, since I'm located outside the Metro. If you didn't know already, I dig good quality nail polishes. One fun fact about me is I couldn't stand not wearing polish on my toes. Having said that, I collect nail polishes and I'm happy to add these three gorgeous shades in my stash!
It's hard to look at this polish and not wish to be in a swimsuit caressing some tropical waves. Summer may be nearing its end, but my tips and toes are still not ready to dismiss wearing fun, pastel colors. Yep, I'm still in denial phase (season-wise) and even those thunderstorms won't change that.
On days when I feel bored with my neutral polishes, yet still not in the mood for shocking colors, I always reach for this nail polish; - Essie Chinchilly.
Purple is my favorite color. So it's already innate in me to lean towards this hue in almost every department; - make up, fashion and nail polish! This is the reason being why I added Play Date on my Zalora cart without even googling how it actually looks on the nails. The fact that it's a purple polish sealed the deal with me.
Hi dolls! I hope y'all are having a wonderful day. Unfortunately, I'm still a bit under the weather. Being sick sucks that's why I'm praying hard for my new found buddies Paracetamol and Cefuroxime to work their magic on me asap. Believe me, this day could easily ended as one long and boring day if not for this black Zalora box that arrived at my doorsteps late in the afternoon.
Lets just say that I have been buying a ton of beauty products sporadically over the past few weeks, which is why I've accumulated a ton of fun stuff to show to all of you. Enter, my long overdue beauty haul post!
More photos after the jump!
My first Essie polish is this lovely periwinkle blue with sugarcoated pearl flecks and goes by this lovely name; - Smooth Sailing (Php420). Smooth Sailing is also part of Essie Summer 2011 Braziliant Collection).

My lousy application and not so great photos do not give justice to this shade (my apologies) but believe me this is such a fantastic color! It is a shade that you don't get to see on every rack of other nail polish brands. It might not look that appealing on the bottle, but up close, it's subtle silver, pink and turquoise glitters make it outstanding. Application was also a breeze; - nice formula, opaque color, dries incredibly fast and stays put really well.
Thanks to Sol of Digital Traincase (where I bought this polish and where you can get one for yourself too) for recommending this shade to me! I love it to bits and I'm sure this will start my addiction to Essie polishes (gulp!).

Peace and Love!

I love wearing nail lacquers. You would rarely see my toes without them. Before, I love going to nail spas for my weekly pedicures. However, due to a horrible experience from a salon that led to this scenario: me lying on an operating room and having a surgeon operate on my big toe because of an infected ingrown years ago, I stopped that weekly habit and just decided to do my pedicures on my own. It might be tedious at times but better safe than sorry (again!), right? But for manicures, I sometimes indulge myself to one every once in a while.
Now the perks of my DIY commitment are: (1) Way cheaper!; (2) I learned to operate an autoclave machine to sterilize my tools; (3) I have all the reasons to scout and haul for toxic-free nail polishes; (4) I discovered so many amazing nail polish blogs and (5) Looking and organizing my nail polish stash makes me happy (seriously!).
And today, I present to you the newest members of my happy nail polish family.
