Hey dolls, it's that time of the month again. Nope, I'm not talking about the "M" cycle. I'm referring to this moment; -when I sit down, stare at my screen and spend almost 15 minutes reminiscing about the products that made me incredibly amused this month. Sounds exacerbating? Nah, believe it or not, I quite enjoy making this list every month. And for this month, here are my favorites:
I waited ages for this lipstick. Well, I might be exaggerating but it actually felt ages to me. When I saw the To The Beach publicity ads, this was the only item that I was so sure of getting. Unfortunately, when the To The Beach Collection was launched here, my MAC counters did not have it yet. What a shame. But better late than never, right? I finally have it and that's all that matters. So, here's the last installment of my To The Beach mini haul. :)
Here are some snapshots. :)
Here are the rules:
- Thank the person who gave this award to you.
- Copy the award and put it on your blog.
- List three things which you love about yourself.
- Post a picture you love.
- Tag 5 people you wish to pass this award on to.
Three things that I love about myself:
1. My ability to withstand, conquer and win over the odds in my life. It was hard, but not impossible. It was not easy, but it was all worth it! Life is like photography, we use the negatives to develop. It isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. I always keep these in mind. :)
2. My faith in God. I am not perfect and I will never be. I have my flaws and every time I feel that my world is stumbling down, I humbly lift everything to His command because I know that someday, everything will all make perfect sense. So in the meantime, I remind myself that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, you just have to have a little faith on everything, right? :)
3. My positive outlook in life. Again, this is not a perfect world. Bad things happen and that is reality. But I survive by always looking for that silver lining because sometimes, things fall apart so better things can fall together. :)
And this is the picture (and the man) that I love:
This is under "My Happiness" archive and is also my current wallpaper. He has been my source of joy, strength and inspiration. We have been together for almost six years now and I couldn't wait to spend my lifetime with him.
This is a beautiful tag and I want to tag everyone to do it. Find the best in you and in life. Life is too short, so dream deeply, kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly. :)
Until then.
Peace and Love!

Dirty Plum (described as "deep plum" according to Mac's website), - a blush that I might not even swatch at the Mac counter. It's one of those colors that is pretty much pre-judged perhaps by a lot of fair women out there. It looks incredibly dark, dirty and very plum! I guess its name speaks perfectly for its shade. Mac did a great job on naming this one in my opinion. I never thought that this will actually work on my skin tone (NC20-ish). Hell yeah, lesson learned? - even make up should not be judged by its cover, period.
One of my lovely followers requested a FOTD using Nars Portofino. So, here's my humble attempt to do one (just please bear with me). Hope this simple FOTD will help you guys appreciate how lovely Portofino is. It's a gorgeous product and I highly recommend it! <3
I will not get tired of saying how I love Portofino on my cheeks. I adore how its color gives me that healthy and glowing sheen! Surprisingly, the color looks good on my lips too. (but it is extremely drying, boo!)

St Barts - another multiple that I am loving to bits!
Described as 'taupe shimmer" by Nars, this gives my skin (NC20) that perfect bronze sheen without looking muddy or dirty. This is also the only multiple that looks good on my eyes, lips and cheeks. Sweep it over the eyes for that sultry make-up look (just use a good primer), over the cheeks as a substitute for a blush, or on the face and decolletage for that wonderful golden glow. It looks absolutely natural and subtle. It has shimmers but nothing over the top. It gives my face that sunny cast on days when I could use a bit of color. If you have deeper skin tones, this would be good as a highlighter. Again, multiples are cream to powder and set to a velvet finish. It is utterly lightweight, no greasiness or whatsoever unpleasant feeling on the skin. The color is gorgeous, the formula is to die for and the staying power is undeniably wonderful. Nars Multiples are quite pricey but definitely worth every penny in my humble opinion. One pop will last me forever! That's good enough for me :)

Just imagine that blended out on your skin, - GORGEOUS! Will try to post FOTD once my allergies are gone. So what do you think? Let me know, ayt?

Multiples are know for their versatility. You can sweep it across your face as a blush or as a highlight, use it as an eyeshadow base or even as a lip base or gloss. I particularly enjoy using multiples because I love that they just melt into my skin like it belongs there and blends so incredibly easily, leaving NO streaks or redness. However, I don't use it on my eyes though that often. I find the Multiples to be quite "creasy" on my lids lately. But I don't really mind. I even acquired two more multiples! Nars multiples' color selection is fabulous. I find this particular multiple extremely gorgeous. Which one? (just in case you missed the title) It's no other than, Portofino.
Nars described Portofino as "shimmering coral." A beautiful pinky-peach color that has a tint of coral to it. I'd say if Orgasm and Torrid has a child (in a cream form), it must have been Portofino. It is the perfect cross between a pink and a peach with just the right amount of shimmer. It has more subtle shimmers compared to the Orgasm Multiple. So if you don't like shimmers, this is a good option. I love how the golden pink hues are flattering and subtle on my cheeks. It gives that nice glow and healthy sheen on the skin.

Go beautifully nude with Orgasm Illuminator, a scintillatingly sheer, weightless fluid that makes skin appear refreshed, radiant and glowing. Flecks of gold, peach and pink shimmer softly diffuse light, melting into the skin to allow your true beauty shine through. Softly reflecting light, Orgasm Illuminator melts into your natural skin to bring out the best of you. - This is how this product is described at NARS website. I love how these words entice me to love the product.
I love Nars Orgasm family. I have the blush, the lip gloss, the multiple and the nail polish. I adore them all. I don't have the nail lacquer because I find it so-so for Php950. But my rant over the polish is another story. So going back, I was lucky enough to try this new addition to the Nars Orgasm line, the Orgasm Illuminator.
Check out these pics: (These sample tubes are so cute!)
Directions for use according to the NARS website: Apply all over the face or use as a highlighter, over or under makeup. It may also be mixed with foundation. Apply to face, neck, shoulders, or décolleté.

This may be named "Orgasm", but the color is way different from the infamous Orgasm blush/multiple. This has more bronze tones and fewer peachy pink ones. It goes super sheer and leaves the skin infused with lovely shimmers. It can also be used in a lot of ways. Pop it as a highlighter, an eyeshadow, a blush base, a lip gloss or mix it with your foundation for that radiant finish.

I love highlighters. Highlighters really put my make up to the next level. It creates that subtle glow on my face that I really really love. I love the texture of this liquid highlighter and how easy it blends on my skin. It's quite sheer and it dries into a soft finish, - absolutely no greasiness or any yucky feeling. Also, a little goes a long way. I'm pretty sure that my sample tubes will last me a long time.
It's a nice product. However, it's not a must-have for me. This might not be universally flattering too as I'm not sure if this will work for deeper skin tones because again, it's quite sheer. For $29/Php1750 for a tube, I don't see myself buying a full size of this anytime soon. I love my Guerlain meteorites, Nars Albatross and Nars Copacabana and I would probably just stick with them. Just my two cents! :)
How about you? Have you already tried the Orgasm Illuminator? What are your input? Let me know, ayt?
Until then.

This will just be a quick post (promise!). And yep, just a mini haul because I basically grabbed two items only (no back ups..yet!). Thanks to Carlos of MAC Shangri La for reserving these beauties for me (mwaah!). I'm still waiting for one item though; - the Lazy Day lipstick which I hope will be available soon! (oh please, please, please!). :)

I finally joined the bandwagon and purchased this wonderful bronzer. Nars Laguna is described as brown with golden shimmers. I have never really been a bonzer kind of girl. I always thought bronzers just make me look dirty or orange, but this one just gives me that natural glow.
I know that most of you have already seen Nars laguna bronzer perhaps a million times, but just in case your new to this product, check out these pics:
I go very light with this product since I'm quite pale (NC20). But with the right intensity, this gives me the perfect "I've just had the most perfect time in the sun"-look. The powder is finely milled that it settles right into the skin giving me that natural glow.
It looks shimmery in the pan but don't worry. The slight shimmer works well to impart a healthy glow without being too over the top for daytime or bright lighting. It doesn't accentuate my pores like some products with shimmers do. The gold in it doesn't overpower the brown at all but only adds to the glow of the face. This product really does live up to its hype. I highly recommend this product! :)
