If you are always on the go (like me), but you still doesn't want to tote your entire make up kit with you (like me again!), well I have great news for you. Laura Mercier thought of girls like us and came up with a fantastic compact palette that includes almost everything we need to create that polished look in a flash. Laura's latest for on-the-go glamour is a double decker palette of classic colour essentials. Boys can easily mistake this as a sleek calling card holder. But for us girls, this is a piece of make up heaven!
Description: Laura Mercier's Colour-To-Go Portable Palette for Eyes, Cheeks & Lips provides a complete look in one convenient compact. Portable and purse friendly, this new double decker design features a full size mirror along with all of your colour essentials.
The top level is all about eyes with a trio of Eye Colours including a highlighter, midtone and definer shades, plus a Tightline Cake Eye Liner for added intensity. All the shadows perform exquisitely. They are highly pigmented, smooth to touch, and have very minimal fall out. I also like that all the shades compliment each other. Putting an eye look with these shadows is a total no-brainer. Kick your eye look a notch higher by tightlining using Violet Asphalt and you're definitely ready to steal some attention.
The bottom level houses a Bronzing Pressed Powder and Second Skin Cheek Colour for a sunkissed glow and pinch of colour on the cheeks.
Golden Bronze is a lovely warm shimmery medium brown that works great in adding dimension to my pale face. It's a fantastic shade and can be used as an eye shadow too. However, if you are someone who dislike shimmers on your face, this might not work for you.
On the other hand, Heather Pink is a safe matte pale pink blush that instantly adds glow to my cheeks. The texture of this blush is amazing. It feels buttery and it stays all day!
Also included is a mini Lip Glace tucked inside to finish the look. I am not a big lip gloss girl but Laura Mercier lip glaces are one of the few that I really enjoy swiping on my lips. They taste heavenly. They are non-sticky and they add just enough gloss to my lips. I highly recommend Laura Mercier lip glaces!
Raspberry, the shade that comes with this palette is a gorgeous creme rosy pink gloss that I adore wearing either on its own (great MLBB shade) or on top of other lipsticks. I particularly like how this gloss instantly adds warmth to my cool pink lipsticks (like Mac Pink Nouveau), transforming them into completely different (and warmer) shades. Gorgeous!
