I support and recognize the beauty bloggers who portray real opinions on products expressing their experiences, obsessions and daily discoveries.
The way in which we buy products are quickly changing, consumers are becoming more aware and are actually researching products before they buy. The internet is proving to become an invaluable source within the beauty community by raising brand and product awareness. Beauty blogging is helping the consumer to make an informed decision; bloggers are increasing by the minute enabling the consumer / researcher to have a wide variety of written material to read from.
The majority of Beauty bloggers are not professionals within the sector; they are blogging as a hobby, as a way of therapy. They do not get paid to blog and do it for the love of beauty. This is what separates them from beauty editors, the reason why they started blogging was because they themselves were researching and experimenting with products and realised they had something to share and wanted to voice their opinion. Beauty bloggers love what they do and are genuinely interested in discovering new and existing products, some are ‘professionals’ in their own right, having a qualification in something does not mean you are a professional, however experience talks.

The One Thing I Am Most Thankful For? - Our Love Story
I believe in fairy tales. I may sound like a nincompoop just by stating that, but I don't really care. It's my belief that helps me see life in a brighter perspective and perhaps, helps in keeping my sanity intact. It took me a while to realize that I am indeed a hopeless romantic. I don't see anything wrong with that. But at times, I see people struggling to find their own fairy tales and fighting hard to make them end with a happily ever after. Then I realized that love is as complex as the universe and finding my one-true-love will definitely be not as easy as 1-2-3.
I had a lot of plans before. I mapped my life the way I would like it to be. But life played silly games on me. Until one day, I woke up with a confused mind and a heavy heart.
I always say that things happen for certain reasons. There are no accidents. Things happen to connect us with our destinies. Well, that is just my opinion. After every heartbreak, I always say this to myself. It is like my local anesthesia every time my heart needs to be sutured.
Because of the change of plans in my life, I decided to work for an industry that is too way different from my degree. I was a fresh graduate during that time. I was young, confused and extremely sad.
Love wounded me three times. I thought I could no longer recover. I kept asking what the hell was wrong with me. I never found the answers. That day, I decided to just stop. My heart and soul needed a break...- badly.
I got a new job. I earned new friends from that company. I can still remember saying my story to a co-worker. I told her my quest to never ever look for love anymore. Not knowing that seated right behind me is the man that I have been waiting for a long time..-my fairy tale. Really, love moves in mysterious ways...
It started with a genuine friendship. He was my best friend. He helped me stayed focus during our training. He was always there for me. He was my constant companion, my savior and now, my forever.
I was so shocked when he told his feelings for me. I felt betrayed. At one point, I thought he took advantage of our friendship. We were so close that every time another suitor comes to my desk, he will come to rescue me from such awkward moments. I decided to say NO. Right after saying that, I felt wrong. He decided to stay away from me. He was hurt. I could tell it from his behavior towards me. And from the deepest portion of my heart, I know I was hurt too. I missed him soo much.
He stopped talking to me. It kinda felt different without him. Perhaps, I also love him. I wasn't just aware. I was looking at my monitor when I prayed to God. I asked HIM to give me a sign. And few moments after that, he went to my desk and asked me to go to lunch with him. I felt that was the sign I was waiting for. So I said YES. We remained good friends. We took whatever we have step-by-step.
I said YES for the second time on December 8, 2004. This time, he did not ask me to come to lunch with him. This time, he asked me to be his girlfriend. And yes, I said YES! It was the best decision that I have done in my entire life.
That was almost 6 years ago. We are still happy being together. We hardly fight because we always compromise. Now, I could honestly tell that fairy tales do come true. He is the prince in my own fairy tale. And no villain will ever put us apart. My life did not happen the way I wanted it to be. But because I took a different path, I was able to meet him. I lost my dream, but I found my happiness. That alone makes me still smile at the end of every day. And that is one thing that I would always be thankful for..

Here are the rules:
- Thank the person who gave this award to you.
- Copy the award and put it on your blog.
- List three things which you love about yourself.
- Post a picture you love.
- Tag 5 people you wish to pass this award on to.
Three things that I love about myself:
1. My ability to withstand, conquer and win over the odds in my life. It was hard, but not impossible. It was not easy, but it was all worth it! Life is like photography, we use the negatives to develop. It isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. I always keep these in mind. :)
2. My faith in God. I am not perfect and I will never be. I have my flaws and every time I feel that my world is stumbling down, I humbly lift everything to His command because I know that someday, everything will all make perfect sense. So in the meantime, I remind myself that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, you just have to have a little faith on everything, right? :)
3. My positive outlook in life. Again, this is not a perfect world. Bad things happen and that is reality. But I survive by always looking for that silver lining because sometimes, things fall apart so better things can fall together. :)
And this is the picture (and the man) that I love:
This is under "My Happiness" archive and is also my current wallpaper. He has been my source of joy, strength and inspiration. We have been together for almost six years now and I couldn't wait to spend my lifetime with him.
This is a beautiful tag and I want to tag everyone to do it. Find the best in you and in life. Life is too short, so dream deeply, kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly. :)
Until then.
Peace and Love!

Delivering a baby is definitely for the brave hearts. This is not a simple procedure. Unexpected things might happen that may jeopardize the life of the mother and of her baby as well. That is why when I volunteered to be the first one in our group to handle the delivery, I was anxious and excited at the same time. This was a new experience for me. I watched several live deliveries before. But I never had the chance to do the actual delivery on my own. My heart was pounding as I wait for my first patient.
My group was assigned at the Batasan Hills Lying Inn in Quezon City. We will service there until November 15 of this year. Our shift is every 6am to 2pm until further notice. We started the day with a short orientation and was asked to change immediately. We are all in our scrubs waiting for our patients.
That is me in my scrubs :)
Around 8:15 am, my first patient came. I assisted her and checked her condition. She will be delivering her third baby. Around 8:30 am, we were able to deliver her baby safely. It was a girl. :) We were so busy attending to her that we were not able to took a picture of the actual delivery. But nonetheless, it was very fulfilling. The tension is high but the feeling that lingers after wards is undeniably priceless. :)
So here she is, a very cute baby girl. She is not just an ordinary baby in my eyes. She is extra special because she was the first baby on my delivery table. I was told that her mom will name her Shaira. So, I present to you, Baby Shaira. :)
