The Body Shop Tea Tree Concealer

Hand me a product that can conceal my blemishes while treating them at the same time, and I'll be all over it! Make it portable and easy to use and I'll be solved. These are just some of the things that instantly made me purchase The Body Shop Tea Tree Concealer stick.

Read my two cents about this product after the jump!

Product description: "A handy, portable stick to conceal blemishes, without over drying the skin. Available in two great shades - 01 Light and 02 Medium to blend with all skin tones."

You see, I've been dealing with nasty blemishes some time ago (worst days of my life) and I need something that I could just slap on my face and make my imperfections less visible. I could easily dab my favorite traditional concealer on, but I decided to opt for something that could actually hasten the end of my break out.

So I decided to pick this product (got it on sale for Php495). I have light Asian skin, and 01 Light matches my skin tone perfectly. I just apply it directly on the spots that I need extra coverage, blend it with fingers, dash a bit of finishing powder to help it stay put longer and I'm done.

The consistency may be a bit thicker, but it's creamy enough to blend easily on the skin. It has decent coverage, doesn't look cakey and its tea tree scent is bearable (I actually love it).

However, if you have dry patches, like any other concealers, this would accentuate those (so beware). Despite the fact that I couldn't 100% say that the tea tree content of this concealer is really helping to clear my blemishes away (since I'm using other topical acne remedy products), I would like to think that it still helps in one way or another.

The only downside that I could actually think about this product is its staying power. If you need to look extra flawless the whole day, make sure to pop this inside your hand bag because it doesn't stay all day. It smudges within hours, and you need to retouch every once in a while. Honestly, I don't have a problem with that. But sometimes, when I don't have the luxury of time to reapply my concealer, I mix this with a high-coverage concealer (currently loving Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage) and this combination lasts me round-the-clock.

Swatch!
