I may not love shoes more than make up, but when I learned about his collaboration with Nars, I was beyond ecstatic. You see, polishes and blushes bring me to blissful (make up) land in a snap!

I love how Francois Nars gives patronage to beautiful places by naming some of his products after them. It just gives me so much joy discovering another incredible shade from his line, while learning more about geography (and history) at the same time. A good example is this delicious single eye shadow in Euphrate. French for Euphrates, the longest and one of the most important rivers of Western Asia that empties into the Persian Gulf.

Nars Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Paris Follies

I must have mentioned a bazillion times already that I am not a big lip gloss person. Yes, I like how they make my lips look softer, juicier and extra glossy. However, I really find the sticky texture of most lip glosses insanely annoying. I have long hair and seeing my gloss all smeared onto my face just because the wind decided to blow towards my direction is a disaster!

Good thing, I could already lavish into all the perks of wearing a gloss minus the tacky feel. Heaven must have heard my silent scream for help because a lot of make up brands right now are coming out with non-sticky lip glosses. Mac Blot Powder in Medium

Like most girls, I hate seeing myself looking extra shiny by mid day too. Oil-blotting sheets can help keep oil at bay for others, but not for me. You see, my skin tend to react violently towards most blotting films so I use them with caution. I have dry-to-combination skin and to help me not look extra greasy than usual, I always keep my Mac Blot powder in Medium within reach.
