NIVEA Visage Sparkling White UV Blocker

4:17 PM

I have relatively fair skin and belongs to a family where hyper pigmentation is an enemy that we have been fighting for generations to generations! And one way to prevent these nasty sun spots to go lurking all over my face is by wearing sunblock all year round (which I totally recommend to everyone despite your DNA construction)

But sunblocks especially for the face, can be a total hassle if you are using the wrong type for your skin tone. I have combination skin and most sunblocks make me feel uneasy and worse, overly greasy! Good thing I stumbled upon this ..

The Nivea Visage Sparkling White UV blocker (Php400/50 ml) has an oil-free, water-based formula and equipped with SPF 30 PA++ that promises not just to protect the skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays, but also whitens, moisturizes and hydrates the skin, bringing the skin's complexion to a more radiant and translucent level. It's advance UVA/UVB protection filters makes it a reliable shield from UV rays that causes pigmentation, dark and uneven skin tones (things we don't like!)

Loaded with a ton of good stuff for the skin, Nivea Visage Sparkling White UV Blocker positively transforms the skin with the following: (1) White Crystallites that naturally reflects micro pigments for that glowy skin; (2) White Pure Actives that regulate melanin production to support the skin's lightening process and reduce the appearance of dark spots; (3) Soy Extract that supports skin's repair and renewal process for that fairer complexion and (4) Hyaluronic Acid which boosts skin hydration, promoting a smoother and translucent skin.  With all these good ingredients, my skin will sure be thanking me for piling this all over my face for months!

Now, my two cents!

I am a little in between about the packaging. I like that it comes in a pump bottle because that makes it very hygienic and travel friendly. However, I find that the amount of product that one pump (see picture below) produces, is excessive for my face. So just make sure to pump the product carefully to avoid wasting too much product. Take into consideration that even this is an oil-free product, slopping too much amount on the face will still make it feel a little tacky. I think it would also be nicer if it came in a glass bottle where I can clearly gauge how much product I have left or in a squeeze tube with pump (like some BB creams), so I can be assured that I can make use of every last bit of this product.

Now onto the texture. It has that semi-liquidy consistency that makes it a joy to apply and to blend. It is easily absorbed by the skin and feels very light. Just the right amount on the skin = zero sticky feeling! It also leaves the skin dewy and healthy. But since I tend to get oily on my T-zone, I brush a little bit of Kryolan Anti Shine powder all over that area for optimum oil control.

The scent is a little bit strong for my nares. It lingers quite a bit after application but disappears after a while.

Nivea products are generally good with my skin. I have been using this every single day for months now and my skin never broke out from it. Even my mom bought one for herself.

So will I recommend this? In a heart beat!

Until then.

Peace and Love!
